IN BANTAYAN ISLAND

photos by Ian Criman

Lately I had the intense love of wearing everything white (Ann Taylor longsleeve, Forever 21 pencil skirt, Crocs Sandals), the definite reason would be style and comfort matches in perfect unison. Comfort, since white colors reflects most of the light that strikes them, valid for the sunny summer weather which I have been experiencing. It keeps me cool from the heat that the sun radiates. These days I've felt that I really don't wanna move, ending up curling in bed seeking coziness in pillows because the weather has been really harsh (33 degrees Celsius to be exact).  Anyway summer is already coming and seriously I don't have any plans yet on where to head to. Do you?

Sifting through different photos taken from Cebu can be mind-boggling for me coz' each visual moment can be beautiful. After editing numerous photos and finally decided to take a full stop these resulted to sunset photos taken from Plantation Bay. The 11.4 hectares of man-made tropical plantation screams fascinating aesthetics that truly left me in awe. Take note this is just a 30 minutes drive away from Cebu city.  It is substantial to spend rest and relaxation in a spot like this.   First time I got myself lost not knowing where to walk around. Next thing I know I was prancing to and fro the centered platform, wearing my multi-colored vintage top, Bayo white cotton pants, and Crocs sandals (this has to be the comfiest platform sandals). It was the time of the day where the region of upper clouds subjects itself into colorful transformation. Why I haven't been here before? I indulged in this transformations, grabbed my camera and enjoyed Mother Nature's gift to human kind.

GRAPHICS FROM THE QUEEN CITY

Visual memories I've collected when I was wandering around Cebu City, Queen city of the South. Though I've been to Cebu a couple of times, I would still feel like a first time tourist. I'm just pleased to come across plenty of trees, growing flowers and golden sunset. Cebu is just graphically beautiful.

Words in my head are cluttering up, can't compose my thoughts any longer, my bed is calling me.

TANGLED

photos by Peter Mediodia

Writing about these photos while simultaneously updating my Tumblr profile and working at the same time can cause brain confusion somehow. So here we go, chilly afternoon spent in the streets of modern Central. I was in a dilemma on what acceptable clothes to wear in the winter season of Hong Kong since I am from a tropical country.  Layered in Promod leather jacket, Uniqlo knit top, Ksubi shorts and thrifted thermals saved me from chills. This jacket has cozy lining with sleeves that permits me to move liberally.

Hong Kong gave me realizations that we are living in a fast paced life. People were like rushing to and fro (it wasn't even a rush hour). Playing tourist in between train stations caused myself in tangle with a group of people in the walkalator. I was completely sashaying on the wrong side. Oh dear moments of embarrassment. Remind me of my left and right please. x

GRAPHICS FROM CENTRAL

Earlier this year I was in Hong Kong, for a short period of time. I tried to squeeze in all the possibilities of wandering around the place but there were too much to handle when I caught myself stuck in the brochure and flyer section just as we had landed on the airport.  On our last day in Hong Kong I spent my time walking and sashaying around the corners of Central District. While I was arranging my photos from Hong Kong deciding on which to talk about, these set of photos brought memories first in my thoughts.

I began to appreciate the modern streets of Central, being the business district with its glittering skyscrapers and luxury chic boutiques in array. I took the freedom of taking shots after shots of the picturesque view of towering walls made up of glass and steel.  It was my first time here in Hong Kong and I wanted to experience every mode of transportation. My adventurous side unleashed, I decided to take my lunch in a different part of the city and tried riding the TRAM which was peculiarly fun. Can’t wait to be back here and experience more of Hong Kong. I think that is a must.

Just when I thought I couldn't miss the beach more, here I am generating thoughts about some of my Instagram photos. Uploading these first since I have not much time of transferring the photos from my camera and grabbing some of the photos from my friends. Having these photos in my phone it's inevitable for me not to upload it on my Instagram during the week. If anyone of you has been on Instagram, give me a shout out, we may feel truly the same by getting addicted updating.

Last weekend I was with my friends at Galera at a different part of Galera I may say. Instead of staying in  White Beach we stayed at  a Villa in Puerto Galera Yacht Club, Muelle and crossed our way to White Beach during the day. The weekend was filled with salt skin and fresh air indeed. It was the birthday celebration of my friend, Nic and her lovely wife, Nora, did all of these for him. Aren't they a sweet couple? I could just remember how Nora, told me their love story, it made me believe that there is a happy ever after. I had enormous amount of time conversing with Mother Nature on how much beauty she gives on Earth. My friends were just awesome to be around, we ended up talking about strange and random stuff from religion to Math and anything in between. It's a bit sad that at this moment I'm engrossed typing on my laptop but in my mind I'm daydreaming about sand on my toes and salt water on my skin.
