DRAWN TO HUE

So.... I lost track of the number of times I have visited the beach in a span of the early quarter of the year. From work to weekends with friends roaming around the city or out of town, time flies fast. I usually find myself packing my swimwear when weekend was approaching.  I just felt the laid back vibe matching my Bayo blue bikini with denim shorts and an Esprit over-sized white long-sleeve polo plus the Roxy cap protected my Asian face from the rays of the sun. I haven't noticed that the usual colors I buy when it comes to swimwear are in shades of blue. I think they're just pleasing and cool to look at. I'm somehow drawn to the color, am I? or am I not?

LAST DAYS OF MAY

Technically, summer hasn't end yet...

POSTCARD IMAGES FROM BELGIUM

photos by: Pieter Vandevoorde

Belgium. The word itself is interesting enough but these photos surpass my idea on how beautiful the streets of Izegem, Belgium can be. These photos are sent to me by my friend, Pieter who is from Belgium. Such photos that look like postcard graphics in 5 x 7 rectangle frames. I particularly love the first photo, if you could notice how beautiful the vivid reflections are. As I've read facts about Izegem, I learned that the place became an urban area when an large industrial zone has developed. When you say Belgium, Brussels always comes to my mind, I wasn't familiar with other cities or municipalities but seeing these beautiful photos from Izegem made me realize that Brussels isn't the only place photographic in Belgium. Truly, another destination for me to add to my travel bucket list, Belgium.

GRAPHICS FROM STREETS OF HONG KONG

Presenting the graphical images shot when I was in Hong Kong earlier this year. I devoted a day creating photos depicting the busy streets of Hong Kong, in particular Causeway bay, and Central. Pretty much the volume of the people can increase in a blink of an eye. Truly, I had to walk in jet set mode. Couldn't get more exciting than the impromptu exploration in Causeway bay, I come to love the city plus the 16 degree weather I suppose.

My life is a bit crazy right now, crazy good I guess. Receiving and sending postcards has turned to be a habit for me.  Well another one is I think I'm in a progression of liking in a far distant way. I don't know how to explain but maybe it will come out naturally as I type in my next post. The thrill of receiving one is quite addicting. I’ll write about that next time. In the meantime I’m in a rush, in the middle of an upcoming training so that’s a wrap for now or maybe I could update this again next I have more to say just not in the right moment to compose my thoughts.

IN AN AWKWARD POSITION

At the park, sat in a broken branch of a tree, caught in my most awkward position.
And more to come, perhaps.

PASTEL BEACH SKIES

Living in a tropical country, where else to head during summer but the beach. The beach may be my usual location to go whenever I want to relax. Perhaps the sound of the waves crashing and deafening silence of the island during early morning were the reasons I find it peaceful at a certain time of the day. Usually I just sit on the shore, watch the waves and transformation of sky colors when the time progresses.

Collection of graphical imagery taken in Bantayan Island, Cebu. The cozy place at Sunday Flower Beach Hotel in Santa Fe, complemented the exhaustion of a bus ride of 3 hours and an hour ride of ferry in Hagnaya port to get to the island. Good thing, the location of the hotel was strategic enough to be minutes away from the restaurants. I made a mental note to myself to try seafood.

The island was abundant in nature. I was in awe to see beautiful pastel skies, a rare situation in the city. One of the reasons why I would always go to the beach was to witness this perfect moment watching the heaven filled with wispy clouds and pastel hues. Countless days spent on the beach where it seems guilty to be indoors.

THAILAND VIDEO DIARY

The good thing of having a blog, it serves as modern day diary where I could write my thoughts and dreams anytime I want. I remember when I was a kid, I use to write "Dear Diary" in my notebook everyday thinking at that time that it was necessary to write every single day. On second thought it wasn't so bad, it made me remember those moments when I was kid. So let's direct my story to the photo above and video below.

When we arrived in Bangkok, the weather was extremely hot. On our first day we indulged ourselves with different gold sightings of temples and Buddha. I got myself busy taking photos and some short video clips amazed how Bangkok can be beautiful the second time around.

Next day was quite tiring, we tried squeezing in as much activities we could handle.  I certainly enjoyed feeding elephants when we went to the elephant village and of course, get to ride them. Believe me elephants look so sexy when walking.

On our last day before we flew back to our homeland, we obviously did a lot of rush shopping. Twirled and dashed our way to different stores, for a time we shopped separately. I did get lost in the middle of the shopping mall but I didn't mind. Bangkok is a place, I would surely find my way to go back again.
