If you would commit to live on a tropical island on a labor weekend in Boracay, expect the whole place to be swarming with people. Hashtag #Laboracay has been rampant on social media during the labor weekend thus giving birth to the word and spring break cult gatherings. And so for the first time as the hashtag became a trending topic that Spotify, (my go to music app) made a #Laboracay playlist.
Even with the extreme heat, I manage to stay cozy during the daytime in Alta Vista de Boracay. Mental note to kick off my shoes and relax at the nearby infinity cerulean pool where extreme lounging happens, cutting Instagram squares, and watching birds flying across the blue skies. Sunset shall arrive and there you go mid-morning cocktails set aside then dressing up begins for the forthcoming parties to attend to.
In some days I practically enjoyed the warmth of the sun, lying on the beach and displaying a glass of mango milkshake while taking pretty photos of my friends. In case of adventure some of my friends decided to go to Ariel’s Point to take the plunge of cliff diving. The excitement.
Consider beach bodies, six pack abs and Brazilian bikinis walking around the island during the season. And to that matter, legitimate partying happens to be at the trendiest bars in the island. Whitehouse, Sur, Epic, Tides are a few of the places to party if planning to experience a close to reality scenes of the movie Hangover.
P.S. Must take note to book flights in advance to Boracay or else an option to ride a boat and find yourself on waters for two days.
